Singapore Style Maths in Primary classes
An opportunity to watch maths lessons in classes taught by teachers using the Singapore approach. Participants will experience two guided lessons, share reflections with the teachers and see the tools used to support the children’s learning including the use of textbooks and concrete manipulatives.
The outline of the day will be:
> 08.15 Registration and refreshments
> 08:30 Welcome and introductions to the day, staff, systems, etc.
> 09:15 Class Observation
> 10:15 Input, Reflection, discussion, sharing of material, etc.
> 11:15 Break/refreshments
> 11:30 Class Observation
> 12:30 Reflection & clarification
> 13:00 Close
