  • Are you starting to look ahead to September 2021?
  • Do you need some inspiration to help empower your maths teachers..?
  • Want to ensure your department is up to date with what other schools are doing in the borough …?
  • Want to join this growing teaching and learning community of secondary schools in London South West?

Join us and take advantage of this FREE Introductory Secondary Teaching for Mastery Twilight Session.
As we slowly start to approach normality in the summer term, London South West Maths Hub have organised a free twilight CPD session that will give participants the opportunity to:
  • Gain an overview of mastery; how it’s evolving within South West London and its impact on mathematics pedagogy across all key stages, as well as pupil outcomes.
  • Focus on a mastery principle in lesson design. We will unpick the theory behind the mastery approach as well as give participants the opportunity to put this theory into practice during the session. We will share mastery resources and exemplar lesson material that you can use in department CPD sessions.
  • Find out more about the Mastery Advocate Programme, specifically the Developing Work Group. This fully funded programme has been described as ‘the best CPD I could’ve done’ and has had a significant impact on participating schools.  Within the session you will hear from current advocates about their positive experiences. We will also share the many funded Teaching for Mastery and professional development opportunities available from September 2021.

Who is this for?
Schools who are curious about mastery and would like to experience a mastery approach to teaching and lesson design. Schools who are potentially interested in joining the fully funded Mastery Advocate Programme in September 2021.
