Secondary Teaching for Mastery opportunities for 2019-20

Recruitment is underway for Secondary Teaching for Mastery Work Groups schools for 2019/20. Schools that want to introduce and embed Teaching for Mastery can nominate two teachers to join a Work Group. SEE MORE

FREE Primary Teaching for Mastery training for Senior Leads and Maths Leads

4th April (13.00 - 15.00) - Join us for an afternoon where you will will take part in a year 4 lesson study in which the teacher uses mastery approaches within the lesson. There will be an opportunity for feedback and discussion with the London SW Maths Hub Leads.
23rd May (09.30 - 12.30) - Join us for a morning where we will take part in a Year 4 lesson study in which the teacher uses mastery approaches within the lesson followed by feedback and discussion as well as a question and answer session on implementing Teaching for Mastery from a Headteacher.

Olivier Tanner, Maths Week London Coordinator has been working with educational partners from across London, to improve children's attitude towards maths and raise its profile across the capital. There will be funding available for schools to apply for, free resources, events and a London-wide online maths contest.

London South West Maths Hub

Welcome to the London South West Maths Hub, led by two Outstanding Schools Belleville Primary and Chesterton Primary and working in partnership with Wandsworth Local Authority.

The geographical area that we cover comprises the boroughs of Merton, Kingston, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth. We also have strong links with other surrounding areas, and will engage schools in other areas where appropriate. 

We are a part of a national network of Maths Hubs that work together in the national Maths Hub programme. More information on the Maths Hub programme can be found  here
